Kenzie Goodman’s Path from Bloomington Local to Future Legal Advocate

When building a team for a Prosecutor’s race, the strongest additions are those who view the law not just as an abstract textbook concept, but as the foundation for justice, equality and stability. To introduce our new Student Outreach Coordinator, Kenzie Goodman, we are skipping the traditional political fanfare and moving straight to the “evidence” of her background.
Exhibit A: Deep Roots in Monroe County Local justice requires local understanding. While Kenzie is currently a senior at Indiana University, her connection to the area goes much deeper than campus borders.
“As a lifelong resident of Bloomington, I care deeply about my hometown’s well-being and am committed to supporting and strengthening the community that shaped me.”
Exhibit B: A Focus on Law & Justice We value staff who understand how the system actually operates. Majoring in Criminal Justice and actively preparing for law school, Kenzie’s goals are centered on the practical, structural application of the law.
“My academic focus centers on the criminal legal system, public policy, and the role of community advocacy in advancing justice. I am passionate about pursuing a legal career that promotes fairness, accountability, and meaningful reform.”
The Closing Argument: Civic Engagement in Action Future attorneys have no shortage of ways to build their resumes. Kenzie chose to step into the arena of local elections to apply her academic focus to real-world policy and government accountability.
“I am excited to be working with Candidate Arrington because I believe it is time for a more progressive future — one that prioritizes equity, transparency, and community-centered leadership. Being part of this campaign allows me to combine my academic interests with hands-on civic engagement while giving back to the Bloomington community I proudly call home.”
Kenzie has been entrusted with one of the most strategically critical roles on our team: presenting our case to the Indiana University community, and we firmly believe the IU vote will be a deciding factor in this race. We’re eternally grateful for her enthusiasm and time. If you see her around campus or town, stop and say Hi.
