We are proud to announce that Andreina Chopite has joined the Committee to Elect Ben Arrington as our Campaign Treasurer.
For a campaign dedicated to reforming the criminal justice system, we didn’t just want a “money manager”—we wanted a partner who understands the human cost of the legal system. Andreina brings that perspective in spades. As the Office Manager for Pro Bono Indiana District 10, she spends every day fighting for neighbors who are often shut out of the courts because they lack resources.
She is backing this campaign because she knows that justice shouldn’t have a price tag. As Andreina puts it:
“I believe deeply in making the legal system work for everyday people — not just those who can afford it. I’m honored to support a campaign that is rooted in fairness, accountability, and equal justice for all.”
Andreina is also no stranger to the hard work of grassroots democracy. A veteran organizer, she served as a delegate for Bernie Sanders in 2016 and has held leadership roles on the Board of Sage Valley, Inc. She knows that real change comes from the bottom up, not the top down.
But above all, Andreina is invested in the future of Monroe County because her heart is here.
“This community is home — it’s where I’ve raised my two boys… This May marks an exciting milestone for my family — my oldest son is graduating from Indiana University, and my youngest will graduate from South Bloomington High School. As a parent and community member, I care deeply about the future we’re building here.”
